Blustone Wines Medal at the 2026 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

Blustone Vineyards is proud to share that several wines earned awards at the 2026 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, one of the most respected and competitive wine competitions in the United States.

Each year, the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition evaluates thousands of wines through blind tastings led by experienced judges from across the industry. Because judges focus only on what’s in the glass, the competition has become a trusted benchmark for quality—especially in categories led by California producers.

The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition stands as the largest wine competition in the United States, with entries spanning North America. According to the organizers, the event’s scale and blind judging format help establish industry-wide standards for quality.

Because California wines dominate the field, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition awards often serve as a meaningful benchmark beyond regional boundaries. For wineries outside the state, recognition confirms that the wines compete successfully on a national stage.
